Standing in ocean ?

I was standing in the ocean knee-deep and this elevation app told me I was 11.5 feet above sea level so I guess the Atlantic Ocean is not consider the sea. I used in Tennessee and at 4k feet on a mountaintop where it was posted 4,200 feet so I guess it works all depends on your phone service. Just used in NJ at a scenic overlook spot that was 1,100 feet and the app said 1,127 close enough
