My Altitude App Reviews

This app came in amazingly handy while traveling in Austria. My partner has a medical condition that is sensitive to altitude and we were actually able to enjoy our big adventure even more with the info this app provided!! Danke!!!!

Used it all over the Rocky Mountains. Has an Apple watch component too!

Regarding some of the negative comments on constantly changing altitude. I believe that has to do with the gps satellites moving. My Garmin GPS unit locks into as many as a half a dozen satellites and averages. Not sure how my iPhone does it. I would like to know how this APP get the barometer reading. When I compare it with my Garmin unit it is close enough.

Great app! Used it during a 50 day auto tour of the northern states, Canada and Alaska to the Arctic Circle. A 12,000 mile journey. Kept track of our elevation during it, as part of the journal.

If you are in a trip and want to know what the altitude is, this is the perfect app! Works perfect and gives you what you need.

Love the altitude reading but love even more that it will time stamp the lat and longitude with the elevation if you take a picture from the app. Great way to remember memories from those backpacking trips!

This is such a fun app. We love that it works without cell service. The kids (12, 10, 8, 6) especially love to watch our changing elevation while were traveling. It keeps them entertained and we set elevation goals that we hope to achieve. When we do, everyone cheers!

Love this app. We travel in the mountains frequently and enjoy checking our altitude along the way. I also appreciate the detailed info regarding air pressure, boiling point etc.

Works great. Not super accurate when compared to a dedicated gps (the + - accuracy can be low), but almost always within 100 feet of true altitude. I like how you can download a data map that has the altitude of most locations already stored.

I have been traveling in Tibet and this app has been great. It doesnt need cell or internet service, which is good for rural areas, and loads quickly and accurately.

The app doesnt have anything special. It has even lass than others.
